GINA

Gina worked for her cousin, La Madrina, a Mafia “Godmother”.  The role of women in the Mafia (and Latin gangs) has been under estimated.  Women can take over the operation of a gang when a husband/boyfriend/lover went to jail or got killed.   Gina did a number of things for the gang - collect extortion,  oversee prostitution rings, coordinate drug deliveries and sales and other illegal activities; she had killed people before.

Gina was tricked into an ambush.  She had met a man who she thought was a new drug supplier.  He wanted to meet in an old warehouse he said where his group did their business, to introduce their wares.

She agreed and she took fellow gang member Johnny with her.  They reached their destination and went inside. They didn’t see anyone, Gina figured the guys were late. Gina and Johnny stood in front of a wall as they looked around.  The guys she thought she was meeting was actually from a rival gang and had some scores to settle.

Johnny took out a Kool Superlong cigarette and lit it then let it dangle between his lips. Gina took out a cigarette also as Johnny was lighting up.  She put a menthol 100mm cigarette between her lips on the side of her mouth. As the flame from her lighter touched the end of the cigarette she could see the embers turning a glowing orange as she  inhaled the smoke.

A gunman in  hiding watched her light up, a lot of guys enjoy seeing a pretty girl smoke. After Gina put her lighter back in her pocket there was a “clack” “clack” “clack”, there would be 27 clacks but Gina and Johnny would not hear them all as they were the sound of Uzis with silencers spewing 9mm hollow body bullets.


Gina felt a sharp pain in her chest and abdomen and she grabbed them with her hands, feeling blood flowing.  Hot bullets had pierced her heart, chest and gut.  She almost immediately went into a state of shock from the hot lead and the loss of blood. She groaned and then grit her teeth for about 4 seconds.

She began to lose consciousness in the state of shock.  A dizzy, nausea, fainting feeling.. a strange euphoric type of feeling for about 3 seconds as she fell to her knees.  Then total uncousiness as she fell on her side, dead as her heart had stopped beating but kept bleeding.

Johnny had been hit too.  He died almost instantly from bullets to the heart. He had slid down the wall and on his side.  There was blood on the wall from where some bullets went thru Gina and Johnny.  Gina had been shot 14 times, 4 in the heart, 4 more in the chest and 6 in the abdomen,  Johnny had taken 13 bullets - 3 in the heart,  4 in the chest, 4 in the stomach and 2 in the groin area.

The gunmen came over to the lifeless bodies and took out 22 caliber pistols and put silencers on them.  Mafia hitmen like smaller caliber bullets for “head shots” - “the bullets didn't exit the head; just sort of rattled around inside the skull scrambling things up.”

There was a sound “piff” ”piff” “piff” as they put 3 bullets in the backside of Gina’s head.  Her head only moved slightly with each bullet.  Then they put 3 bullets in the back of Johnny’s head.  One of the gunmen then put 2 rounds into Gina’s vagina and then the gunmen quickly left.

Gina and Johnny’s bullet ridden bodies lie there on the floor.  The freshly lit cigarettes were still in their mouths (gangsters Carmine Gallante and Jack Lingle died with cigars in their mouths after being shot to death)..

Wisps of smoke from the cigarettes rose in the air over their still bodies..  Gina and Johnny had some blood coming out of the left side of their mouths.  The cigarettes eventually went out.  Gina and Johnny’s still, lifeless, bullet ridden, bloody bodies lay there thru the afternoon and into the night, thru the early hours of morning and into the next afternoon till about mid afternoon a watchmen discovered the scene.  

The police came and took lots of pictures, did a chalk outline, wrote up reports and called the coroner to take the bodies away.  Gina and Johnny’s spirits had left hours before, they say spirits go to a happier place but they left behind a couple of good looking corpses.
